Free Bolster Ear Saver Crochet Pattern

Happy Mother's Day!

I hope you all had a great day. I really enjoyed a very chill day of sleeping in, crocheting and hanging out with my family.

A little while ago, a relative brought to my attention crochet ear savers and suggested I make some. I know a lot of people are sewing masks due to the coronavirus and I wanted to help out, but not by crocheting masks and I wasn't sure how useful these ear savers were. I researched a bit to see what was out there and the sizes they should be made. I tried a small one that I saw a lot of and realized they were just too small, they pulled my face mask way too tight. So I tried making them longer and was happy with them at 6.5" in length.

So with some cute buttons I found at Michael's and neutral color yarn in my stash, I made a few ear savers. I made about 20 of them and listed them on a local buy, sell, trade Facebook group. I sold out the same day! I had to get more buttons and made 24 more. Again I sold out of them the same day I posted them.

I thought about writing up a pattern for them but again thought to myself, "Would anyone want this pattern?" Question answered, when a fellow local crocheter mentioned how much she liked these and asked if I had a pattern for them because she had a large order to make ear savers and wanted to make them like these. The Bolster Ear Saver is now in writing for my fellow crocheters!
