I released my first pattern last weekend, The Alternate Bolster Basket, but I've been busy preparing for the holiday weekend with family in town. What a crazy, fun-filled weekend it was! Now it's Monday and everyone has gone home so it is time to relax a bit and catch up on some work.
The Bolster Stitch is a new crochet stitch I've been using with my baskets and I just love the look of it. I've had people inquire about the stitch and a pattern for my baskets, so I finally wrote out my first pattern. The pattern is like two patterns in one, has it shows how to make the basket with or without handles. The finished size of the basket in this pattern is
8"D x 5 1/2" H, which is the perfect size for organizing clutter found on tables and shelves while adding simple yet beautiful decor to any room. It also makes a wonderful gift basket for any occasion.
When it comes to crocheting, I love to be able to finish a project within an hour or two and without using a ton of yarn. So after many months of crocheting baskets, I decided this would be my first pattern, it works up quickly and only uses 2 skeins of yarn! These baskets have received such a great response from family and friends, that I now have my holiday shopping all figured out! ;)
The pattern is now available in my Ravelry Store
I would love to see the baskets you have made from this pattern and to hear what you thought of it. Feel free to leave me a comment below.
